Welcome to the Central Washington Dressage
Society (CWDS)! Following is a description of our programs
and the benefits you will receive as a member of CWDS.
Cost of Membership
Our annual dues are $40, $23 of which supports our CWDS programs,
and $17 of which is paid to the United States Dressage Federation.
With this portion of your dues, you will become a USDF Group
Member and will receive a membership card from USDF.
Members include dressage and equestrian enthusiasts from
Yakima, Wapato, Moxee, Selah, Wenatchee, Cle Elum, Ellensburg,
Zillah, Goldendale, Moses Lake, Walla Walla, Rearden, Richland,
Pasco, Kennewick, Benton City, Prosser, and Granger, Washington
and Kooskia, Idaho.

Benefits of CWDS Membership
- Members compete in our schooling
show series at a reduced rate
- Members may participate in our monthly
clinic program
- Members are eligible for year-end
awards and our scholarship program
- Members may rent from our video library (contact Margo
Aye margoa@charter.net).
- Members who receive qualifying scores are eligible to
compete at the Northwest and Region 6 Championships held
each fall. Information about this show is available in the
Dry Side Omnibus.
Our club offers scholarships to all of our members who compete
in either the Northwest Dressage Championship, the Region
6 Championships or the ODS Championship Show.
Benefits of USDF Group Membership
- A monthly subscription to the Connection
- A USDF Group Member Card which can be used at USDF competitions
- A $15 discount off the Participating Membership dues
- Eligibility to ride at USDF recognized shows
- Eligibility for riders awards (Rider Performance Award,
Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal, Freestyle Gold and Silver
Bar, Master’s Challenge)
- Eligibility for credit toward University programs
- Adult Clinics
- Improved services to GMO’s on USDF website
Schedule of CWDS monthly
meetings
We meet the third Tuesday of the month, except for December,
at Round Table Pizza in the Fred Meyer shopping center on
40th Ave. in Yakima. Business meeting starts at 7 pm but come
early to eat dinner and socialize at 6:30 p.m. We encourage
all members to attend meetings when they can in order to meet
fellow members and be included in all decisions about our
activities.
